An excellent set for those young ones fascinated by things around them. My six year old son has had much fun setting the gyroscope up to spin, and with the magnets. The prism has been played with, but has required more adult assistance to set up something interesting. Pieces are quite robust. The gyroscope requires some care but still not a problem for my (admittedly careful) six year old.
